The E0004.10 error code appears on Rika pellet stoves when the connection between the room thermostat and the electronic control board is interrupted.

Solution

  1. Check the batteries in the room thermostat (wireless); they should be replaced regularly (every 4 to 6 months on average).
  2. Check the color of the LED on the radio receiver mounted on the stove: green = battery OK; orange = battery needs replacing; red = battery dead.
  3. Check that the wire from the thermostat or its receiver is securely connected to the stove (at the back of the stove).
  4. Acknowledge the error message; you can now use the stove again.

If the error reoccurs with a wireless thermostat, it’s possible that another electronic device operating on radio waves is interfering with the sensor’s signal, or that the sensor is placed too far from the stove (3 to 5 meters maximum, with no obstacles).

If the wireless sensor is more than 5 m away, behind an obstacle or wall, or if the error occurs frequently, you can increase the signal transmission power. To do this, open the wireless sensor (as you would to replace the batteries) and set the white and red DIP switch number 4 to ON.
